Kazan, 30 June 2026– On the margins of the international scientific and practical conference “Modern Business Education: Russia and the World”, Kazan Federal University (KFU) and the AAOIFI Centre for Islamic Finance Development signed cooperation agreements to strengthen collaboration.
The agreements, signed by Alsu Akhmetchina, Director of the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance at KFU, and Amier Al-Mousa, Director of the AAOIFI Centre, provide for the establishment of AAOIFI examination and training centres on the basis of KFU.
The new platform will enable students, professionals and financial market participants in Russia to gain access to internationally recognised AAOIFI professional qualifications and competency development programmes in partnership finance.
Kazan Federal University is one of the region’s key educational partners in developing professional expertise. Its academic infrastructure and specialists in economics and finance provide an important foundation for scaling educational initiatives and training a new generation of specialists.
Amier Al-Mousa, Director of the AAOIFI Centre, commented:
“This agreement is an important strategic step in the development of partnership finance in Russia and the CIS. The establishment of AAOIFI examination and training centres at Kazan Federal University will broaden access to international professional qualifications and strengthen the development of specialist competencies in the region.”
The cooperation reflects a shared commitment to developing the partnership finance ecosystem through education, professional standards and international knowledge exchange.
