Specialist forums advancing implementation, governance and market practice<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AAOIFI Centre for Islamic Finance Development formally operates five Forums that bring together practitioners, regulators, Shari’ah scholars, lawyers, and technical experts to advance Islamic finance standards implementation, governance and market development across Russia and the CIS region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forums operate under terms of reference approved by the Centre’s leadership. Each forum has a chair, vice-chair and central focal point, meets quarterly and commits to at least two practical outputs per year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purpose:<\/strong> To provide practical scholarly and technical support on product structures, Shari’ah governance and implementation issues relevant to Russia and the CIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Main role:<\/strong> This group provides practical scholarly support for product structuring, Shari’ah governance and implementation. Its role is to support sound structures, harmonised understanding and confidence-building — not to act as a supreme fatwa authority. The forum serves as a technical and consultative platform for practical Shari’ah governance and product structuring issues. It does not replace the authority of regulators, institutional Shari’ah boards, or formal fatwa bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
